Re: 2008 Bash. Parked next to AA van. AA chap said that for £10 I could get a coolant warning system from a scrapped 214 model Rover. Any comments? I need help with this one. Bigbear

I've heard this before I think, isn't it a float alarm? I'm not sure, I think you may have to swap out the expansion bottle? maybe we'll just have to wait for Nevetts to come back off holiday to answer himself.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

I'm sure you could get a whole Rover 214 for £10 if you looked around a bit.

It won't be worth anything once the float has been removed from the tank.
It won't fit a Bongo anyway and neither will it reach the level....

Hi back from cornwall  ,
I Think Phil(other AA chap) was talking about this little chesnut.
It has been done by a few brave souls, not a great amount of bodging involved/required but I would rather opt for the engine saver(hayden's). and it does involve installing the whole expansion tank and a little bit of electrics.

P.s haven't seen any on bongo's yet nor will mine be the first to have any piece of rover adorning my pride n joy [-X
I am the only bongo in the village.......(not anymore there's two of us now "Damn it)

He was a bit strange wasn't he? No 'please'. Got good (humoured) good advice. No 'thanks'. Took umbrage. Trudged off back into the woods looking for Passers Bye.

If you are reading this BigBear, the folks were (in their own unique Bongo way) trying to help and make you welcome. Feel free to come back when you are ready. Good luck and enjoy the Bongo
