Couldn't walk? Forgot the way? Couldn't wait for opening time? Lots of reasons.

Just got our new C&CC 'Your Big Sites Book' 2009-2001.

There is a whole section devoted to Certified Sites attached to pubs across the country - maybe 60 or 70 listed.

Mrs B's all time favourite. Caravan Club Pub Site of the Year.

They also accept bookings from non CC members (seperate field) and are very informal and friendly.

There previously was a link to a pub in Cornwall featured on a website, possibly the motorhomes stopover website, on the southern edge of Dartmoor.

I cannot now find it, and wondered anyone knows which pub it was? It was free, I think on the basis that you eat/drink there.

You would think that pubs would wise up to this market. What better excuse to buy another drink, when you do not need to drive away from the premises. Not that I'd have too much to drink, of course.

This is a great idea I'm going to walk along and ask the landlord at our local 'cos we are about a mile from the ferry to Ireland and I'll bet he'd get some business from this idea, and the food's great . The Brewery, Cosheston,Landlord & lady Russ & Mel, I'll ask next time I see em, keep em peeled

Practical Motorhome is setting up a scheme in conjunction with the Motor Caravanners' Club which they are calling the Nightstop Scheme.
This will allow participating pubs to legally allow up to 5 motor caravanners to stay overnight.

There are limitations, they have to be freehold pubs at the moment, and I assume that there will be a cost to the pub to be included in the list, but you'd think that increased business would more than cover the cost. It certainly looks an interesting move.

I just camped in the car park of The Barley Mow in Oakley, Hampshire. RG23 7JZ

Ask Jen the landlady buy some drinks and I'm sure it'll be fine. Bit of a rubbish pub but usually a couple of ales on and food.

Not too much to do around here but its next to the M3 and A303 / A34

If you camp in a pub carpark, and have a few beers over the limit:
Does that make you drunk in charge of your vehicle when you retire for the night ?
Maybe you could be charged with the offence :?

only if you have the keys on your person, depends on the copper to be honest, if you have the keys in the ignition it will look bad, but if they are in the glove box and your in the back asleep, different story, well depends on the copper really.
