We went to Ireland last September. We took the ferry over from Stranraer & then toured around the coast really in an anti clockwise direction. Generally the campsites were located from guide books as we weren't quite sure where we would end up at..... & I can't think that any were particulally poor as to not recommend them. Yes some did have what seemed excessive funny/silly rules but hey we were generally only there for one night so it was hardly an inconvenience more a talking point the next day Also none of them were full, so we never got turned away even when turning up in the dark...
