MOUNT FOLLY FARM, Bigbury Devon

Post by Blueskai » Sat Jun 04, 2011 10:18 pm

WOW! Just got back from 3 nights at this little gem.
Clifftop location overlooking Bantham and Burgh Island

It's a good old fashioned field with plumbing.
The toilets and showers are absolutely 'no frills' but what a superb location.

A little bit windy at times, Fires are permitted too.

Even better - £6 pp Children under 10 are free. Electric is available in the bottom field, but this gets crowded and the further you can get away from the toilets and bins, the better. Three nights cost me £36.

Seriously... It was great.

We went Weds to Saturday. There was a Bongo which kept popping in and out of the farm yard.

If you haven't, get yourself along to the Journey's End pub. The fish and chips will almost feed a family of four! Or one VERY hungry me.

We'll be there again soon. Wish people would be a little more considerate though and clear up a little better when they leave. [-X

John is one of the Jolliest fellows you could ever meet. I suppose I would be too if I owned such a huge part of some of the finest land in the world.

Looking forward to our next visit that way.
