great campsite in Connemara

Post by shazzamick » Sat Sep 08, 2012 7:04 pm

For a really great campsite in Ireland, go to Acton's Beachside camp site near Clifden in Connemara. We were there a few days ago and it is idyllic. On a sandy little peninsula, right next to a beautiful beach, fantastic views and also sheltered pitches and eco-friendly too. The owners are as helpful as can be, and although facilities are basic, they are really clean, and extra toilets and showers and a campers' kitchen are planned for next year. :)

Mmmmm! This looks wonderful. Here's the link http://www.actonsbeachsidecamping.com/.

One day I'll get to Ireland and despite this site being as far as you could possibly imagine away from Swindon  , it does surely look lovely!

One day, my dear, one day!
