Campsites on mainland Europe

Post by Poohbear » Wed Sep 19, 2012 4:34 pm

My other half and I have just traveled Europe for 10 days on motorbikes and we were very lucky with campsites. We did not find one campsite that I would not fully reccommend. We looked at all the campsites we stayed on with a view to taking the Bongo there at some point and taking everything into account such as facilities, cleanliness, scenery, location, suitability for children etc they were all great sites. So here's the list: -

Ypres, Belgium: -

Luxembourg: -

Cologne (Koln): -

Hameln (the Pied Piper): -

Arnhem: -

Hope this is of some use to some of you :D

Sadly ......unless one of the 2 main club's sites in the UK you take a chance with camping/caravan sites

There are however many good ones which get recommended on here..... the only thing with Europe mainland sites is they all are welcoming and not all after the fast buck.....
Having done France,Lux,Belgium,Holland and Germany I can speak from first hand experience....... I have a few must do places before I get too old on my list.....
