Wild or very cheap camping, Bury, Lancs

Post by HisRoyalFredness » Thu Jul 10, 2014 8:30 am

I'm going to a dog training week up in Bury in August. There are some lovely campsites locally, but I really begrudge spending £25/30 a night when I will be off the site for so long every day.

Does anyone know of a good place to camp over that way? Ideally there will be a nice farmer who lets out his field for less than a tenner a night that I can stay on, but I'll wild camp if I have to.

Would the training venue let you stop over in a quiet corner of their car park?

Sorry for the late reply, thanks so much for these, I will look into them this weekend. The training venue is a unit on an industrial estate, I am not sure they even have their own parking. I did ask how much to park inside overnight because occasionally they park their landrover inside if they can't get parked outside themselves, but I am not sure they took me seriously...
