Clachtoll Beach Campsite
Hi
We spent a fab four nights at Clachtoll Beach Campsite last week. I can highly recommend this site, it was clean, the owner helpful and the beach was beautiful. Even the midges weren't too bad.
The beach
Jellyfish
It was so hot we had to swim and no namby pamby wetsuits for us.
Donald climbed Conival and Ben More Assynt and caught a cloud inversion.
Suilven
Minkie whale in the bay. There were one or two every evening.
We took the tent so we had a bit more room.
Ice cream in Ullapool.

Better weather than when stayed at that site last year. The water is lovely and blue even in the rain. There's a brilliant chippy in Ullapool and we had fantastic fish and chips sat on the freezing quayside.

Nice family memories are those!
We were there in June on our way to Ullapool and your right it is wonderful. We only had flying visit as we had rented a cottage in Ullapool for a week where we then visited all the bays from Ullapool up to Scourie.
I bet that water was cold but it looks like you had a great Bongo time.
Thanks for sharing it!

A Bongo is for life, not just for Christmas

Hi, this summer did a tour around Scotland mainly wild camping but went to Applecross and stayed one night on the campsite, i think they have got it just right. Charge £2 a vehicle and £7 per person. why cant most campsites take this approach?
