Really depends what you are after. If it will be your first time away I would suggest not straying too far, or get a few local weekends in before then. Just so if the worst came to the worst you can pop home.

We're not far from you on the tother side of Cambs and you have a whole host of campsites ranging from the very basic rural through to the fully equipped all within a couple of hours, across Suffolk and Norfolk.

UK Campsite and Caravan and Camping Club are good websites to start your web search on..............

In August I would book months in advance
I'm peterboro are you the silver and White one think it's v reg I saw about at weekend near fengate

A couple of good sites I use
Killing Heath , near shearing ham Norfolk, really good site fully equipped 250acres woodland and heathland. Swimming pool, clubhouse, etc. but pricey and gets fully booked

Break farm half a mile up the road from kelling, it's a farm
With a nice shower block and a breakfast wagon on site
Fires allowed , cheap few elect pitches
And you can walk thro woods to use killings facility's. , ssshhh

About hour and a half away
I've used both for 40 odd years
Great area around aswell
Prob see you about p/boro
Do wave

I'll second Kelling Heath, large site close to the North Norfolk Railway as well.
Shop, bar, restaurant, pool and spa on site. Lots of static vans all well hidden in woods.
We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and had a good time although it got very squelchy underfoot when it rained.
Open all year, £18 a night at this time of year but hellish expensive in summer, £44 a night

My parents had one of them statics in the woods briwy
From about 5 to 16 years old I ran wild on that site riding motorbikes at 7 years of age
Great place to be brought up
Site has been sold to a big organisation a few years back nowand the rules have got a bit strictor now than then
And as you say the prices are .........
But lovely place
Did you get some sea food from the crab man down in weybourne, lovely that is
Done that hill on a push bike , biggest and longest speed wobble of my life but I stayed on ,
So yes great place in my eyes
Get free mushrooms growing at breck farm tho
