Bongonaut of the Year

Post by Ian » Thu Mar 24, 2011 11:10 pm

You can't nominate Kirsty because she won it last year. But who are your nominations for this year? Either post it here, or email to [email protected]. Closing date 24 May. The Bongomeister's decision is final.

Mister Munkey for going out of his way to help and advise and reassure people evenwhen he had his own Bongo ( and other) related issues ... Also sharing his blog which helped me through a few dark nights !!

it would have to be either geoff g8dhe, as he is very acurate with his responses, in a sometimes hard to understand field and gives a response just when you need it !!. =D> =D>
or steve, stevewiddowson2008, as he worked very hard to help peeps understand the cooling system. =D> =D> .(but he is from yokshire so not perfect) .

well done guys.

True, he did this with me when I was having issues.. little did I know he too had issues with his Bongo. He kept us going and not giving up on owning a bongo.. how grateful am I :)

Also many others on here who have helped... Northern Bongolow has been great, b*witched, Big Daddy Cain, Muz and Debbiepritch.. too mention a few.. What's the criteria for it, can you pick more than one person?

I got an award last year!   I reckon Steve deserves some recognition, for his work on the cooling system.
Special Awards

Geoff Mather was given the Bongomaster's Special Prize for his work on the downloadable wiring manuals. Kirsty Elliot was a popular choice for Bongonaut of the year.

Seeing that picture makes me think of those behind the scenes that keep the site ticking along.. i.e. adminstrators... without them things on here wouldn't work and no one would get advice.. oh so many people to choose from.. still not sure if we have to pick one person or can pick a few or more :)

Geoff’s jive on the wiring side is my decider
a brighter inside or volt to the cigarette lighter
Then my main man Cain wid da insane pimp set in stone,
jus a shame he gotta limp home with the toe bone #-o
DBO’s a floater with the front end lamp upgrade a doter on the blue shade
Doin the magic like an air raid & supplying the chrome trade is Barrington.
Though YBB has da fancy upholstery & masters the tastefully done
Bringing the coolant facts up to date is Widdowson2 0h 0h 8 for me
Wiv da in depth anatomical diagrams cracking enigma codey.
Northern Bongolow is free flow & versed in the factual
wid his knowledge of the solenoid & settling the paranoid practical
a pipe charma deserving the karma dat cat gets another new thermostat
Actual bodily harm award would go to the Mr M for the tough love set
broad shouldered Bongo brotherly shove, I’d have reached for the glove box bruv
& dialled a kill Bill style execution if my Freda had illusions of component retribution
leavin wheels like a sunk boat. Damn dey all get my vote! 8)

Respect.

bigdaddycain (Ste) gets my vote for the help he gave me with my exhaust. Over and above the call of duty.

How about Crazy for his crazy hiking pub crawls! Never a dull moment!

Well it's got to be Ady (Northern Bongolow) for me :) ~i PM him occassionally & he's always got time for you as he has with any anyone on the forum whether he knows you or not.
If you don't quite understand what he's on about he will go into great detail to explain it (well he has to for me) till you (hopefully) get it sorted.

Theres quite a few that deserve this award but in my opinion Ady's the man :)
Regards Ray & Christine

I'll certainly second a vote for Ady & the whole Hurlestone Clan.

The time and attention that man puts in to relative strangers requests is well above & beyond the call of duty. He may not always be right but is rarely wrong when it comes to diagnostics, the wife makes a wicked bacon sandwich & the daughter works in the best chippy in the North.

Case Closed.
