A few pics from Team Muz

Post by Muzorewa » Mon Jun 25, 2012 7:18 am

Thanks to Ian, Marianne, Brandy & Henderson for organising another fantastic weekend. Some inclement weather didn’t dampen any spirits and we all had a great time. A few pics from us....

Image
An early start and we’re set up by 7.30am in a lovely spot. Briefly....

Image
....while Muzette checks out the ‘chicklings’ on the river bank....

Image
....and I get some breakfast on the go :D

Image
“Does my bum look big in this?”

Image
Mid-morning and I’m tyred already

Image
Next – the Bongo Olympics and our own version of the Olympic torch :?

Image
....and the Parade of Olympians

Image

Image
I can’t help thinking there’s some unlikely contenders here

Image

Image
A Bongo especially adapted as a video tower....

Image
....to discreetly film proceedings - you have been warned

Image
First event – Welly-Wanging....

Image
....with some varying techniques.

Image
Is it a bird? Is it a plane?

Image
Some techniques less successful than others....

Image
....even Muzette had a go :?

Image
Event two – the Sack Race....

Image
....with some equally unlikely contenders

Image
Refreshments for the weary spectators, never mind the competitors

Image
Egg & spoon race :?

Image
Penalty shootout – some of these would get a game for England on current form :?

Image
The final event – Sumo

Image
Genius, whoever thought of this

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image

Image
Tired of washing up? No problem, eat it straight out of the pressure cooker....

Image
....and then leave the dog to clean the rest :?

Image
Time to get ready for the evening’s entertainment....

Image
....things went a bit blurry at this stage....

Image
....possibly due to the large volumes of Ribena being drunk :^o

Image
....or barbecued Spam being eaten :?

Image
Now THAT’s what you call a tin of Spam

Image
Balanced diet – beer & Spam :?

Image
Industrial Grade Spam in progress....

Image
....go on, you know you want to

Image

Image

Image
Matching hats

Image
Mini-crisis – “Where’s Little-Legs?” – Asleep in our Bongo

Image
....with Muzette

Great weekend, must do it again some time

Another great Bash. Sorry I wasn't there this year to enjoy Tales by the Riverbank.

Mike, it was disorienting pitching without you there, but we were advised to move as some others had been turfed off there at 10pm AFTER they had set up their awning - not happy bunnies. So we thought there was little chance of being able to move ourselves come 10pm Saturday so we moved in readiness. Turned out to be a good move anyway, right near the marquee so a good spot from which to take in the band

So next year, you'll have to rough it with the rest of us plebs

Excellent photos Muz. I wish I could comment as well as you do! Really sorry I missed it but I had a wonderfully exciting time watching Elbow in pouring rain, losing my purse, panicking because a big thing with high white lights was moving away from me in the middle of the car park (tractors), unable to get off car park field because the nits in cars got stuck, sleeping in back while waiting to move (pre-planned - had beds made up ready), driving home to report loss of credit card - oh it was fun!

Elbow were brilliant though! Next time, yes, there will be a next time - I'll pay the extra for VIP tickets so I don't have to queue for the toilets, bar or food! Plus I can hobnob with the likes of Chris Mead from Waterloo Road and John Bishop!
