Tatting Classes and Demonstrations

Post by beachguild » Mon Jun 15, 2015 3:56 pm

Ann has kindly offered to demonstrate and teach Tatting to anyone interested. She will be available Saturday all day and Sunday morning, at our van, next to the marquee. She will have Tatting Shuttles and Tatting threads available.

Tatting is a form of lace making that is similar to crochet or macrame but is done with a fine thread and a small shuttle. It's an ideal craft for anyone with a limited amount of space available, you can usually fit your Tatting in a pocket! Ann has been known to produce various Tatted items, while sitting on a bar stool behind the bar at a beer festival! :D

Sounds great. We're going to need a Programme Guide thread if it carries on like this, in order to keep up with what's going on where!

I misread it as 'Tattling Classes'.

I was expecting lessons in tittle-tattle (for the chattering classes).

Don't panic Baz, she was inspired to dig out the tatting by your Macrame class and was hoping to join you, but she won't be with us until Friday evening  so thought something on Saturday would work. Anyway, all will be welcome :-D
