Yes you can, it slides up leaving the screen mount in place, but it's held in situ by a spring clip, you'll see a small cutout/hole on the bottom of the mount just off centre, stick a small bladed screwdriver or stiff coathanger type wire ot similar up the hole & you'll feel it encounter resistance, a bit more pressure & you'll feel it move the spring, then the mirror should slide up the mount & off.
I've just learnt something new (2 things with the vanity mirror  )
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

For some reason I have to take him everywhere with me, and I have to take him home again . Hopefully your mirror will be sorted by then.

I do hope so

So know you know how to remove the mirror.. (Cheers Kirsty!) Thas been bugging me too...
Why not try & save some eBay cash & see if you can clean the discoloration on the mirror.. Then bring the casing up like new with some back to black? It worked a treat on my ashtray!!
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

No worries, I'd thought it must come off somehow, but had never really needed it to, so hadn't looked to hard, always good to learn something new

You must have moved or deleted your photos in photobucket, they have to stay where they are or the link dies.
