I'm quite suprised you stated the above SM

I'd have thought that you'd have known as well as any that if one hose has/is/going to let go, then the others can't be far behind...
Granted, different hoses have different stresses, but the pressure is uniform from one hose to the other is it not? (correct me if i'm wrong, i'm no mechanic)
Flippa? Does the kit include the bleed hose?

Hi Flippa,
Put me down on the list for a set in Blue please. Again same ballpark price.
Having a Bongalow I'm up for some early adoptor testing
(At least it won't be only AFT's you'll be on the lookout for)

Sorry flippa, what I meant was if the hoses hadn't been tested, and subsequently proved useless, all the coolant would come out - I was therefore agreeing with you for testing them. I didn't mean that I thought they were useless and, judging by other comments, may be interested in some myself.

In my experience the hoses that are most likley to give way (apart from external damage...chaffing etc) are the ones that carry the hottest coolant.
i.e. the top hose will go long before the bottom hose and the tophose (cylinder head to metal pipe) before the top hose ( radiator to metal pipe ). Also hoses that tend to get covered in oily crud.
If a "full set of hoses" ( would that include headertank and heater pipes) is prohibativly expensive then perhaps the most common failed ones could be the way to go.
Has anyone had a bottom hose go ?
I am not trying to put anyone off this super project which I think will be of great benifit to us all. Just asking questions.
I would certainly be interested in some of the smaller diameter pipes as I replaced most of the larger ones (at great expense) whilst testing the coolant alarm. I wish this "full" kit had been available then.
Well done Flippa. Nice one.

cheers haydn

........the kit contains 9 hoses (rightly or wrongly)....for now anyway they will be sold this way ........but i had planned to re-order the main or most popular hoses and sell them as single units....at the time i had to make a decision and i decided to go with the kits and then the singles would follow or if there was need more kits ...it was always going to be a suck it and see
