Horn not working

Post by BONGODADDY » Sat Apr 10, 2010 4:58 pm

:D Afternoon all,

In the Bong today and the horn has stopped working, when pressing either of the two buttons on sterring wheel you can hear a click noise, i opened the bonnet and reached into the cab to press the button and can hear a noise "Click" but no "toot" "toot" (They are not know for being loud anyway :lol: ).

Any help or advise appreciated.

Paul.

If you can hear a click from the bonnet area it sounds like the relay is operating from the switch, which means the fuse is OK so tale a look at the wiring between the relay and horn and horn and earth or at least its connection to the chassis there isn't a wire as such! It might be worth just unplugging the relay as well to make sure that non of the contacts are dirty / corroded the Relay is marked F3-03 and its position depends on the vehicle type see the diagram below;

I have the same problem.
Wires on the horn itself have broken free from the horn.
New horn.
Have a look underneath first and see if any wires are still connected to the horn.

That would only work in Scotland.
In the outside world, nobody understands us.

Have taken a look today, checked the relay (It looks like new, no corrosion etc, looked under the front at the horn and wiring(There appears to be two horns wired to each other ?), the wires look intact so think maybe that the horn/s have just had it ?

The diagram only shows one horn ? But other versions might have two I guess, but odd for both to fail together ?
