V6 petrol spark plug gap???

Hi,

Can anyone let me know what the optimum gap is for the spark plugs on a 98 petrol V6??
Using NGK plugs. Thinks the ones in have been there for some time and not trusting the feeler gauge setting and some are slighlty different setting anyway.

According to the owners manual they should be set at 1mm - 1.1mm
