Found this under the dash

Post by Bongoplod » Thu Apr 22, 2010 3:57 pm

Ill post this here as,although its technical,im told it may not be Bongo related,so Mods and Admin feel free to move elsewhere if you see fit.

Anyway....getting in the Bongo last night,i found the below item on the carpet, drivers side, near the pedals.
Ive had a root and cant find where its from, but i did assume it had come loose from behind the speedo area ,as this has been remnoved recently to have a new chip put in.

Everything seems to work ok .

Its black, plastic,about 2and1/4 " (6cm) in diameter,and about 1/2 " deep.
On one side is an arrow and the word "LOCK",and on the other side its in sections and has a raised bit in the middle .

Called at Wheelquick at dinnertime but was informed it wasnt a Bongo part, but unless it was stuck on my shoe (unlikely) i dont know how it got there.

Any ideas???

Thank you Sar`nt Major, just been out and it does indeed fit there.Never noticed it before and didnt notice the white plastic where it goes, last night in the dark.
Its now replaced.
What daft thing if it doesnt do anything.

Many thanks for the quick reply (as always on here =D> =D> )

There is a thread about this here http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... 39&start=0 If you scroll down the first page to the fourth posting, it should give you a more comprehensive answer
