Testing leisure battery circuits

Post by walty666 » Fri Apr 23, 2010 10:26 am

Hi,
Limited electrical knowledge here. How's best to test that certain items (lights, rear 12V socket, etc) run off the leisure battery and not the starter battery. I tried disconnecting the starter battery and testing them but nothing worked at all?
Cheers

There's your answer then.

Without having done the re-wiring yourself, the only practical way is to disconnect either battery and see what still works. Make sure the L/B is charged though, and don't run the engine whilst you are checking.

Oh right. Simple as that then. Either no charge or not doing what it should be doing. Will investigate further...
Thanks!
