Battery Level Monitor

Post by dandemann8 » Sat Jun 05, 2010 7:47 pm

After last week's episode with my LB losing it's charge I've found this little baby which I was thinking of ordering in order to monitor the battery.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT

It would fit in the dash as it's quite compact and provide simple but colourful information. :)

It's only a tenner so I was wondering what do you think :?:

Pretty sure DBO has a voltmeter not an ammeter pretty much the same as Stevie's, Ive got one too with a two way & off switch so I can check either battery

You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Got a rather stylish volt meter fitted to the A pillar....

But the plan is to move it & fit a rather fetching turbo gauge where it was... When removed? Possibly??
Cheaper by comparison to a race horse...

On a point of cosmetic detail, I managed to get one on ebay that was suitably sized to fit within the limits of 3 switch blanks (once vertical plastic separating bars removed with a knife) and that looks really neat (plus is v. easily removed). I did it by making a gasket out of the black foam rubber from an old mousemat. The gasket holds it in place nicely plus takes up the variable gap between unit and surround. Works perfectly (click pic to enlarge):
