The wishbones on my bongo are in need of replacement. I have found a pair of second hand wishbones and am told that the ball joints are in good order. My dilemma is that there is a rubber sleeve that fits over the ball joint which has perished both on my vehicle and on the replacement wishbone/balljoint. I cannot seem to find anywhere that sells this rubber bush seperately or for that matter with a new ball joint or complete wishbone. So am i worrying about nothing, or perhaps is this part one of those that all bongonaughts know you can adapt froma an astra or similar! ?
What I am really saying is..... Do I need this bush to be safe and pass an MOT and if so does anyone know where I can get one! ( 0r two!)?
Please help as I am no mechanic and would be grateful for any advise on the matter. I will not be fitting this myself!!!!!!

Re: Ball joint bush
yes the bush will need to be in good condition of the mot. Any garage should be able to press out the out and press in new units with minimal fuss. the wishbones are easy to change, its a matter of removing two brackets and a nut.
