broken rear wash hose

Post by Barley 1981 » Thu Jul 29, 2010 7:57 pm

the hose which squirts the rear wash-wipe has snapped somehow and I now have water going into the door cracks when using the rear wash-wipe, I have tried joining the pipes with tape (2 different types) does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it? thanks

Should be able to repair it with standard bits available from Halfrauds or any motor factor, this may help - http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... mgno=.html
This has come up on the forum quite a few times before.
You can't polish a turd - but you can roll it in glitter.

Thanks Kirsty, Are you thinking that a piece of hose over the top of the split? it is the bit between the grommits that fit to the boot/car and it is the plastic tube thingy inside the rubber pipe that has snapped.....hard to explain without a photo I suppose! thanks for help again :)

Don't know, I'd go & measure what's on there to make sure.

Make clean cuts on both ends of the pipe, and if the pipes are tight then heat them up with a hairdryer to make them pliable, you can also find a good selection of joiners, Tees and tube at most pet shops, fish tank piping is normally fine
