Got back at tea time from a lovely weekend at Allithwaite, thanks to Jo for organizing this. It was great to meet you all, most of you for the 1st time. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Thanks Tomo for the laying on of your healing hands on David    Thanks Jo and Chris for inviting us to the pub on Sunday night also with Harry and Tom. I thought you were going to dognap Pippin

Had a good day today in Grange and then Kendal.

See you all in Silverdale.

:D

Many thanks Pixie for a relaxing weekend. Made it back home at 4pm yesterday after a battle against strong headwinds all the way up the M6. It was hard to stand upright at Tebay service Area where I took a break.
After that the sheltered A7 was a doodle but I did run into a spot of bother at the Dumfries & Galoway/ Scottish Borders Boundry where I noticed that my temp gauge was slowly creeping up. I did not wait for the alarm to go off or the fan to kick in as there is usually no bother at this point of my journey the road being quite flat. Stopped at a safe laybye ¼mile further on and checked what I could, coolant bottle full and not a drop on the road? Started off again after a few minutes only to have the needle starting to creep up again 20 miles further on as I went up the slope into Selkirk, Stopped again another safe laybye with the same results before arriving home with the needle back to normal. Well 12 o clock is normal on my Bongo not the 11 o clock with the fact sheet meantions so am I running hot? Checked the fan fuses today, all are ok and there is not a drop of coolant on my drive and the coolant bottle is still full - any Ideas. Got to get it sorted before Glencoe if there is a problem, there is no way I am going to tackle the A84 over Glen Ogle if there is a chance that I will overheat. Been that way 6 times already in my Bongo so I know that it is quite a climb.
I was not using the air-conditioning all the time as I usually do, just put it on for a short time during the trip. Since running the air-conditioning tends to cool the engine a bit could using it have been masking hot running?

Didn't take many pics of the other bongo's thought there would be plenty on already so we just took some of Pippin and sights from out and about over the weekend.

Talk about making yourself comfortable. Well I suppose I am a comfy cushion!!!

Tomo sorry we missed your departure, I was busy catching up in the house. We picked the vehicles up when Chris came home for lunch. Hope you had a safe journey home.

Harry I will drop off the extension you lent us to your shop tomorrow. Thanks for the loan

Don't worry about getting the extension to me. I'll either collect it from your shop or you can bring it to Silverdale.

I'll be out and about all day this week.

Thanks for all your efforts this weekend. I had a great relaxing weekend in good company in a great place. What more could one want?

I will take extension to the shop Harry but please prompt me to put it back in the van before Silverdale if we don't see you before then. I have the memory lower than that of a fish lol
