Up at 5am and on the road for 6, it was a lie-in for me but an early start for the rest of the Team

In time to watch the sunrise over Bala Lake

Never seen a EuroSpar before, but I suppose we’re in another country
We arrived at King Arthur’s Labyrinth in Corris at the advertised time – during the wait for the rest of the attendees
we thought we might as well photograph some of the wildlife in the carpark....

The rest eventually turned up

Time to dress up in silly hats....

....and go on a subterranean boat journey through a disused slate mine

....enjoyed by all

Stop for a look at the Afon Melindwr valley....

....where there are red kites all over the place

Then on to Erwbarfe Farm Caravan Park near Devil’s Bridge

Muzette disappeared and let us set up camp on our own

....only to return when we had finished

Hembramacho’s kids did much the same....

....leaving us to salvage bits of a sad awning

Umbongocat’s low-smoke barbie

We were graced with the presence of the Marchioness of Anglesey for a while

Jr umbongocats preparing some firewood for us

Time to crack a bottle open and set fire to something

Ready to cook – this was still going in the morning

The full moon might have explained some of the odd behaviour

A nice crisp morning, it’s a hard life all this Bongoing

Only in Wales

Debbie trying out next weekend’s costume

The three bridges at Devil’s Bridge, one on top of another....

....and The Punchbowl
Thanks again to Debbie for organising, great to meet Umbongocat (Cath, Chris and lots of kids, happy Birthday Chris), great company from Andrew & Mair (Hembramacho) and hello again to Shelly & Gel
Catch you all next time,
Team Muz

We're finally back home after stopping off at a Nature reserve on the way, climbing a mountain... yes all of us including the little un. Then Bristol and home to London
Thanks Debs for a great meet. It was lovely to meet everyone there and put faces to names. Enjoyed the drinks around the fire... even though a bit smokey.. Best bit of all, scraping the tents of ice in the morning
Chris (umbongochris) enjoyed his cake very much, as did we all... thanks Shelly
Muz, your pictures are fab, puts mine to shame, but will put up a link when I work out how to do it, or Chris shows me

Another fab meet with great company and spectacular scenery.
Here are a few pics from me.
There are 2 walks to do at Devil's Bridge – a long trek down the gorge and back up again to take in the Mynach Falls, and then a shorter one the other side of the bridge going around the punchbowl.
Devil's Bridge

That strange mound on the top of the hill in the distance is Bryn y Castell, the site of an early fortification.

Bit odd - obviously the tree was there first.

The Mynach Falls

The Rheidol Gorge

Could be a bit steep this.

Just a bit!

And then a treacherous bridge to cross
