Screeching noise from steering

Post by g.monro » Wed Nov 03, 2010 3:18 pm

I recently purchased a Mazda Bongo 2.5 TD. It has just started making a screaching noise from the steering when i'm going round a corner at lower speeds (More turning right than left). Can anyone help me figure out what this noise is and what I need to do to sort it out?

i would start by lifting the drivers seat and checking your power steering fluid level......

hi an welcome to the forum. :) first thing i would check would be the fluid level. the res is under the driver seat.remove the gearstick consol, then lift the three clips that lock down the drivers seat, under the carpet!!. then lift the seat.levels are marked on the side.if thats ok then check the belt to the powersteering pump, best viewed from under the passy seat.
