glow plugs

i want to change the glow plugs, but i seem to recall that there are two sizes, ive a n reg freeda which i think is 1996, can i tell what size ive got from the engine number or will i have to get one taken out and measure it?

The 2 lengths are 83mm and 102mm, so you could measure them. There's a factsheet explaining length relevant to VIN number in the members area ON THIS LINK.

i always forget about the fact sheets, im going to check before ordering since mine was made 01-05-96 right where it could be the long or short ones.
