rocker cover gasket

Can anyone tell me how much labour (in hours) a rocker cover gasket takes to replace, we have got a oil leak and during service this week the mechanic said that is where it is coming from, it is not great amounts but it is dripping some.
The mechanic said it may right itself? is this common?

Is the leak on the front right of the engine? If so, they nearly all do that - it's gunk from the EGR

EGR? what is that please? hehe. the leak is from the passenger side, the garage tightened the bolts a bit.

My gasket was a bit leaky when I bought the Bongo - it seemed to be passenger side of engine, towards the rear. So I gently tightened the bolts a bit in that area (not too much as you don't want to warp/crack the aluminium rocker cover), then I used a parffin gun and compressor to spray gunk over teh offending area, then sprayed the gunk off with water in the same manner), and its not leaked since.

I had the tappets done on my Bongo last November so it needed a new Rocker Cover Gasket which I got from Bongobits (Jap auto solutions also sell them). The job was done at GBL Motors a small backstreet garage in Edinburgh recommended to me by Dandywarhol. I was charged £60.00 which I found to be quite reasonable. This would probably have cost a lot more at a bigger garage or a main agents.

I would recommend that you have your tappets checked when the gasket is changed, two of mine were found to be a bit out and now my Bongo is a tad quieter.
