Rear interior lights

hi guys im a blonde 25 yr old so a bit dippy and could do with some help!!!

ive just got a bongo and im a bit confussed on how the lights in the van at the back work?

we have a strip light in the center on the ceiling one in the sleeping area in the roof, 1 on the side at the back and a fan also on the rear left window.

have tried the fuse to see if it was that but nothing.

can someone please help me as ive ran out of ideas.

Hi Lisa & welcome to the forum.
The fuse for the interior lights downstairs and for the light in the AFT;

Do you have a leisure battery fitted ? This circuit is often moved across to it, so that the lights don't drain the Starter battery overnight. In which case it could be a flat Leisure Battery (L/B).

If you have got a fan in back window then I assume you have a Cube kitchen in there.

Switch number 4, reading from the left, should turn the light on on the rear pillar. Other than that can't help I'm afraid.

The one in the roof normally only works when the roof is raised,
The rear one should work with the rear door,
The centre strip light should work with the sliding door.
Both the rear and centre ones should work with the doors closed, and has been said earlier its fuse number 1 that controls these.
Have you tried the obvious and checked the bulbs are working ?

In that case you may need to investigate how its charged, it could be via what's termed a Split Charge Relay from the Alternator when your driving, or sometimes its only charged via an Electrical Hook Up (EHU) when the van is plugged into the mains on a say a campsite. Do you have a conversion of any sort, if so do you know which one and by which convertor, they all vary a bit and different firms do it different ways but someone with a similar conversion may be able to give better advice!

we have a side conversion not sure how to find out what one it is. and i dont no how to check the bulbs?

When we bought our Bongo, (which had, had a Mazda cube kitchen removed) our centre & rear lights didn't work.
I was led to believe that the life feeds for these lights were via the cube kitchen & that when the kitchen was removed so was the ability to make the lights work. We ended up re-wiring the live feeds & now they both work as normal interior door lights, ie just when the door opens, all the time or not at all.

This is a Mazda Cube kitchen

Made from plastic and has a row of switches on the front of it which control the water pump, cool box etc.

hi all,

have been to the garage today and we cant seem to find out how u turn the back interior lights on or the fan.

no bulbs blown no fuse gone

if any one has any ideas please please me no
