Thermostat Housing

Post by Ian » Mon Aug 15, 2011 4:04 pm

Shortly my ace mechanic (Northern Bongolow) will be replacing my thermostat. But the thermostat housing will need replacing because it is seized and will need to be dismantled. NB has the replacement housing, but needs to get hold of the "paper" gasket and has asked me to track one down. So I need the part number. I have had a look on lush projects (page 1500C) but can't spot it.

Can anyone help us out?

That shows as the waterpump inlet gasket. Is this the same thing?

You mean 15-173 for the V6?
But it's the diesel one for which the part no is WL0115165 (drawing no 15-165) "Gasket w.pump inlet" http://www.lushprojects.com/bongopartsm ... no=.html#8

Sorry Kirsty - YES I did. Bloody good job you're there to correct errors. Thanks. =D>
Note to self: Stop 'cut & paste' - too easy to drop a b******..
Diesel bit was almost right though

On the V6 the same gasket is used in at least two places, one on the thermostat and one on the water outlet of the water pump - however they both point to the same description look at the gasket behind part 15-17Z (water outlet) and the gasket behind 15-176B (thermostat).

But its irrelevant as Ian has obviously got rid of his V6!
