Is this on startup or when warm? It will run pretty fast when cold but should settle down once warmed up.

It runs fast when warm - about 1300rpm in P or N and about 1000 in D

Apparently it does it on LPG,it will be warm, sounds like it could be drawing air somewhere,(where it shouldn't)

Cheers.

Hi,

Under the drivers seat, towards the rear of the inlet manifold is an air screw. This adjusts the tickover speed.

Circled in red:

Have found it. To decrease idling speed which way do you turn it?

You've got a 50 / 50 chance :). Make a note of it's current position and turn it 1/4 turn one way an listen to the engine revs. If it goes up, then go back 1/2 a turn the other way and it should go down. If all else fails, stick it back in the middle.

Hi,

Tightening it clockwise will decrease the revs. As Simon has said so long as you do things gradually in stages you can easily return to where it was.

Make sure the engine is fully warmed up before you change it, and then test it gear and with the AC on and off to be sure it settles in the best place.

I found setting it too low would cause it to stall when the AC kicked in and out, yes it compensates for the extra load but there was a slight delay in that happening.

I found mind worked best at around 750-800 RPM.

Have turned it clockwise a good half turn but made no difference. Is that normal?
