Not yet tried to remove that panel to access the bulbs on mine, but imagine its quite similar to removing the older style reflector panel: http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... =+Tailgate.

May be worth considering getting some LED replacements which should (in theory) have a longer lifespan.

As far as I can recall, there are just two sidelight bulbs and no reversing lights in the panel. I would pop out and check, but the vans just gone back into the bat cave for a rest after the run to East Sussex and back.

hi, i can help you a little i think :D :D

open tailgate and you will see that there are 2 screws holding each cluster on. remove these and push light out to side (to remove) little bit of a budge will help :D :D
you can then see the connectors which you just need to screw to get off and replace the bulbs.

the top clear lights are the indicators and the panel on the back that joins these 2 are just reflectors.

hope that helps :D , someone will probably explain it a lot better than me

I think he was refering to the sidelights that are in the reflector panel on the tailgate as opposed to the ones on the bodywork. These appeared on the 1999 onwards version.

If you remove the trim panel on the inside of the tailgate it allows you to get at the two bulb holders for the side lights

Ahh right, spot on ta....i did remove the 4 plastic fixings but the panel was still tightly held, are there more panel fixings behind or is the panel glued on,i don`t want to destroy the panel when i try and pull it off.
Bit of a poor design by Mazda really, mind you,i suppose you don`t really change bulbs often

There are 2? clips in the centre of the tailgate trim panel.. If you kind of slide/jiggle side ways.. (To the left) It wil slide off the 2 clips without having to pull it & wrenching the card..?? Then pull the clips out the metal, put back on the trim to pop back on...? Kind of... :?
