hiya,
where is everyone going thiis year? Last night i went a bit wild and booked lots of 2 night trips over the june and summer sch hols to southport and the wirral. I have 5 bookings in total. we have never been to either but I am told that there are beaches wityhin 5 mins easy walk from the camp site so I'm hoping that will keep the big ones happy and, quite frankly, if they are happy then I am happy. I wanted somewhere I could park up, put the roof up, recline the rear seats and not have to drive again.I am bongoing with a 7yr old, a 6 yr old and an 8mo baby.Once we have the hang of it I'll be fine to drive towhatever tourist attraction we are close to but for now I want it easy for the first few trips.
where are you going this year with the young uns and why?

Not much planned at the moment
But been here in the past
Nice site, new toilet block, has a few good kids activities
http://www.fronfarmcaravanpark.co.uk/
Its near Mold so has a local market, shops etc, if you go August this is a couple of mins away and is a proper traditional small village show
http://www.cilcainshow.org.uk/
One of the best sites we have been to is here
http://www.cheshire-caravan-sites.co.uk/
Again only 40 mins away near Wrexham
This is very nice too, excellent indoor pool, bit more expensive but well worth it, we used to go for Bonfire night and often used it for winter camps in the caravan

Like Alan, we are C&CC members and on the look out for the temporary holiday sites. We have just had what will probably be our main holiday for the year having spent nine nights at Hendra Holiday Park in Newquay over Easter for £8.50 per night including electricity and that's a full facility tourist park (indoor and outdoor pools, skate/bike/scooter park, playgrounds, kids club, masssive ball games field, soft play area, bars, restaurants, evening entertainment). We spent most of our time at the scooter park and in the pool if we weren't just lounging round the Bongo whilst Isaac and his little pals were out and about in the football field. The normal price for Easter would have been around £23 per night.
All at the wrong end of the country for you, as you want to take it gently this year, but our next break will be on a Forestry Commission site in the New Forest. Lots of wide open space and cycle paths.
After that, it will be a week or so in the Forest of Dean with bro-in-law and his family which we haven't booked yet as we will see if there is a temporary holiday site, meet or rally going on there (so that we can afford to blow out on some canoeing or other reckless pursuit!!!!)
In between there will be weekends away anywhere with a playground!!!!! If you ever are in Cornwall, I thoroughly recommend Old MacDonald's Farm near Porthcothan http://www.oldmacdonalds.co.uk/index.htm. It's on the list for a return visit.
