Thing is professional conversions carry more weight when selling a bongo.

Out of preference I'd either buy MPV or only settle for the right conversion. TBH buying unconverted suited us and then sourcing the correct converter was the best path for us...

Took Olive out today for a wee meander to a country park.

Stopped far a picnic on Bovingdon Green inside t'bongo......bliss; all four of us sat round table having a cuppa and a bite to eat....

Enroute home, we saw a 62 plate VW California......."bet they didn't have a picnic in theirs" came a smug remark by she who mostly must be obeyed!

VW's are known as the 'enema' (enemy being a bit strong  ), in our household.......it's not their fault..... 8)

This alone I feel makes our choice of conversion perfect.....I'm on a roll and may get lucky tonight  [-o< [-o< [-o<

Fingers and wot else crossed...... [-o<

A bespoke California is about £46 on a 62 plate.....then extras.........like reliability!!!

It's nuts for a campervan.....

We know, that's why we're here, not there. Will never understand how VW's fetch those prices. Nothing against them, hired a Westfalia T4 once, fun, quality units, good design, but gutless, tiring to drive: it had a rust 'issue', and the hire guy wanted £10k to sell.... I said WHHAAAAATTT!??

No matter, each to his own, but I do wonder...

At these prices it does not make sense to buy a campervan. For this amount you could buy a new motorhome with a super efficient Euro 5 engine that would give you almost as many miles per gallon plus bags more space.
