New year campsites

Post by al & chris » Mon Nov 19, 2012 2:54 pm

Looking for a site to stay on for new year Dumfries and Galloway area. Must have hook ups and pub nearby. Our usual one at garleston is already fully booked. Any recommendations.

Haven't been for a while but try Brighouse Bay Park, just south of Kirkudbright on the coast. Shop,Bar,pool etc onsite.

Just looked on web. Looked like this site is closed in winter.

Most of the smaller sites here on the solway coast will be closed at this time of the year. Larger ones like Auchenlarie near gatehouse of Fleet will be open but its big , comercialised and has many static vans on site.

some ideas here but not sure how old the web page is as it claims Brighouse Bay is open all year round.
