About to fit front anti roll bar droplinks

Hi,
tommorrow, weather permitting, I am going to fit a pair of new front anti roll bar droplinks, and two new rollbar bushes. Is there anything I need to watch out for when doing this, or is it as straightforward as it looks?

I did the drop links for its test last month and there was no issues. Also did the bushes yesterday with it just driven up on my set of ramps.

Am about to do the drop links again tomorrow due to the rubbers cracking all ready on the new ones, the guy I bought from has already supplied new ones free of charge.

Normally straight forward though I quite often spray with wd40 a few hours before.lift up bongo and put on axil stands if you can..

When I last did droplinks, I had to angle grind the nut off as it was rusted solid.

Yeh I was the same last month when fitting the new ones.

You can extend the life of them by sheathing the new joints with bike inner tubes filled with grease. Messy and a bit unconventional, but this has certainly extended the life of mine.

Good quality parts should last 10+ years, it's the cheap Chinese copies that use inferior rubber that are the problem. I bet most of the droplinks and swivel joints that people are now changing are at least 15 years old that were fitted in the factory.

I agree with that - once you change the good quality originals at the 10+ year old point, you are replacing them regularly, and it's always down to wear caused by split rubbers.

Thanks for input.
didn't get too far - did not have a deep enough socket to get easiest nut off. So I went to the garage who have done previous work on other cars for me, and booked it for it's MOT and they said they would do the bushes and links for me when its up on the ramps.
Will post final result next week.
