Re: Spark plug no.
The type number is in the owners manual & on the plug itself. For my V6 I went with NGK LaserLine LPG1 plugs which are not cheap, but are specifically designed to give optimal spark required for running on gas.
Re: Spark plug no.
Thanks Simon, I havn't got an owners manual, I was after the no. to try and source some from a local supplier and alternatives. I could lift the engine compartment and see whats in already but was just being lazy. Do you think it makes much difference using LPG plugs? If so what? Do they last longer?

Hi Stuc,
I agree with Simon's recommendation - got them fitted to my 2.0L. I used to get some loss of power and occasional misfire with the standard plugs, however everything ran fine on petrol. (Also changed the HT leads). All problems went away

Re: Spark plug no. 2L petrol
To be honest, I replaced the whole ignition system in one go so can't really comment on the plugs in particular, but they were highly recommended by the garage that fitted my LPG. They are supposed to be long lasting and due to the very fine iridium tip, they're not the sort of thing you'd want to get a wire brush on. I shopped around to get the best price, and it still cost me about £70 for 6 but having a strong spark is vital to getting the most out of LPG, so it was an investment I was prepared to make.
Re: Spark plug no. 2L petrol
Cheers Simon, I'm not sure which way to go as there is a lot of conflicting information. I have read and been told not to use platinum or iridium plugs, and standard will be fine but might not last as long. But if you guys are giving good reports it may be the way to go. I need to do a bit more digging.

Re: Spark plug no. 2L petrol
Just an update, I fitted the same plugs as I took out and it seems to have cured the little misfire it had around 2000rpm. Just been over to the Lake District for a night away and the Bongo performed faultlessly there and back. The plugs cost £8,80 for 4. They were Denso but I will post the number later. I know they might not last as long but I will keep a record of how long they last co0mpared to costs.
