Alloy Wheels

Post by Scratch » Wed Dec 17, 2014 11:06 pm

My Bongo has steel wheels and I am looking to upgrade for the new year. I have looked on line and the choice seems endless. Any advice as to where I should start looking?

Start by searching this site.
2wheel drive or 4x4
what size do you want? std 15" upto 18"
tyres to use?
new/ second hand
mx8 etc?
lots to read first then home in with your question

It might be worth giving your insurance company a call to see it will affect your premium as some are less keen on aftermarket wheels. If you stick to 15" it may be easier than going for larger wheels which tend to need more expensive tyres to get the correct load rating.

I like the look of these:-

although, if I didn't have 17" alloys and I didn't drive so much on motorways, I'd go for these:-

Personally, I'd go for 17" as it gives the option of the sporty 225 50 17 tyres or the good for off road suv tyres in 225 55 17
I realize this doesn't answer your question of where to get them

Thanks for the advice.
I am going to stick to 15 inch wheels - I just want a bit of an upgrade.
