Brackets under AFT - original?

Post by cbeeson » Fri Apr 10, 2015 7:31 am

On my R reg AFT Bongo there are some loop brackets on the near side, above the gutter, hidden when the AFT is closed. They look like original equipment, but I can't find any mention of them or their purpose on the forum. They could well be intended to attach a canopy. Anyone enlighten me?

Yes original, not certain which option there used with probably their own awning.

Thanks Geoff. That's roughly what I guessed. I wondered why there don't seem to be any awnings currently using those brackets - looks like a simple case of a tarpaulin and a couple of tent poles.

I have a (non-original) awning which uses them

I made it using, err, a tarpaulin and a couple of tent poles! (and guy-lines)
