Re: Solution to space constraints
Really neat, but you could have a Bongo (or VW) and an Eriba for your money.
Re: Solution to space constraints
Would be good if you could unhitch it and leave it standing ( locked up on site )
It's silly money tho
This is small and funky

Re: Solution to space constraints
That's why I tend to like the caravan route, keeps your pitch and you have Bongy for days out while away.

Re: Solution to space constraints
Hi
Errrr..it's been discussed on here many times...BUT....if I had that kind of cash, then I wouldn't hesitate...it's almost as good as a full-size motorhome, but still has the practicality of being able to tour small country lanes.....Ask yourself this....why has Danbury been converting VWs for well over 40 years if they're so troublesome?....well, the answer is that if they're looked after, they're as good as anything else.
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
Re: Solution to space constraints
I ignored the price!! The concept brought a smile. I've got full length floor runners so can't be that hard! Now where's my pencil and paper, Living near Bristol, I'm sure I could call upon the design experience of Mr Wallace and Grommet.
A little irony, any investment like this deserves a newish van - it would totally outlive my bongo.

Re: Solution to space constraints
Main problem with the concept (for me) was it only seats 2-3 people so not much use as an only vehicle, plus it seemed a little short on camping touches compared to the VW California type camper. And how rugged will all self levelling stuff prove to be, when you visit the wilder campsites. I think it's a seductive idea, probably the latest aimed at seducing those about to get a pension pot. But it's not for me
And a Bongo is still the best for country lanes (though the VW is ok and still better than a motorhome).
Think what you could do with your Bongo (and Eriba) though for £55k

If you had the dosh you could have several 'Pods' just like Thunderbird 2.
Say, one for camping, one for days out/dinning, a cycle carrier, one for diving gear...

awesome idea. Musical accompaniment to the pod launching is clearly a must as well. Mmm, I wonder how many campsites have folding palm trees.Bob wrote:If you had the dosh you could have several 'Pods' just like Thunderbird 2.
