Re: Farewell to 2Sticks
Sad news. We didn't know him well but chatted to them at Looe over several years.
RIP Ben, and our every sympathy to Pat and Terry.

Re: Farewell to 2Sticks
Hi Everyone, Just to let you know Jan and I attended Ben's funeral today.
We went in our Bongo and Pat and immediate family went in hers so there was a Bongo Presence.
Lovely service not religious although we did sing "Morning Has Broken" better known by Cat Stevens than as a hymn.
Some sad moments and light hearted moments too from two of his sons who read superb eulogies.
His exit was accompanied by "I did it my way" which most thought was amazingly appropriate for Ben.
Pat was so pleased with all the comments on the Forum, even showed them to members of the family. So thank you very much.
He had become a bit frail but had seen many members of his family before and after Christmas.
He wanted to work on his computer so one of his sons pushed him up to it on an office chair.
He sat for a while and fell asleep.
He never woke up.
The phrase He died doing what he loved is bandied about a lot, but he really did.
RIP Ben I will miss you.

Re: Farewell to 2Sticks
Thanks for the update John. Sitting in front of his computer sounds ideal - he would have been happy
