More auto transmission error code woes :(

Post by RogerM » Fri Apr 08, 2016 1:05 pm

Hi, anybody willing & able to advise on the fault codes I'm getting from my Bongo when doing an ATX code read?

Bongo in question is an N-plate diesel 4wd AFT

I seem to be getting;
1 long flash
2 long flash & 6 short flashes
6 long flashes & 4 short flashes
I think the last one is the 3-2 timing solenoid (I'll hunt that down) but the first 2 have me puzzled.
Could it be crank position sensor code 01 (wouldn't that be no long, 1 short though?)
Could the second one be vehicle speed sensor (code 06?)
If those are correct could the 6/4 actually be a 5/4 in which case I've no idea what that is!

Bongo drives ok other than no transmission hold function & a slightly jerky gear change in the lower ratios.

Gearbox fluid level is ok when warm and is a decent colour so I'm presuming isn't the issue.

If it is a solenoid then can anybody point me in the correct direction to purchase one?

Thanks in advance.

With them not aligning to the ATX fault code table it may help to post a link to a video of the flashing

Good idea, I'll work out how to host this next time I'm near the Bongo.

Pop the video onto youtube, or any other publicly accessible place but youtube is easy. Copy the video's "share" link and paste it into your post between URL tags.
