Recommended Immobiliser

Post by TheStinkyHippy » Wed Jun 08, 2016 10:20 am

Searching old posts but I can't seem to find any recommended recent information..

Lots of Bongos being stolen recently, and I should get an immobiliser and alarm for mine...

Would like a box that I can fit myself....
I already have remote central locking, would like it to be incorporated in that, so one button to unlock/unalarm/unimmobile... (is that possible?)

Also, generally, how do these work.. I assume they just stop the power to the starter or something?

General recommendations please... muchly thankly...

If you want it all incorporated in one system then you will have to replace the existing.
We have a Toad system installed, when it was originally converted, have only had to replace the a couple of key fobs in the 8 years following lost key rings.

I have a Hawk system fitted to mine. Very comprehensive system, but not one that I would recommend fitting yourself. But they do have good instructions and a very good helpline should you decide to bite the bullet and have a go or mobile fitters in some areas if not .Their contact number is 020 8404 7105.
Model is a Hawk HA-280 PRO V3. bought through Ebay.
Not associated with the company in any way.
