one of the best bits of tele for years. if you watch nothing else watch this, see how social media is affecting most things you do, and how its being used.
very very thought provoking.

It is indeed!
Not sure that the survivalist attitude will be needed for the reasons given (but I'm no expert on Americans!) towards the end of the first episode.
The distance that psychometric analysis will go and what it can achieve is probably worth worrying about, especially when data from more than a single platform can be combined together (think about the effect of allowing your FB logon to act as a single sign-on for multiple systems?). I'm sure a lot of people will eventually click on (pun intended) to deliberately diverse links in order to confuse the issue - I know I do!
Maybe time to think about Isaac Asimov's Foundation series - on a less galactic scale (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foundation_series)!
Interesting read here as well, with another take on a similar vein https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/ar ... nd/534231/

Yes i watched those Ady and was similarly affected. Hopefully the politicians will wake up and realise the seriousness of the looming crisis. Hopefully!Northern Bongolow wrote:one of the best bits of tele for years. if you watch nothing else watch this, see how social media is affecting most things you do, and how its being used.

Re: if you watch nothing on tv watch this.
i was quite unnerved when i watched the first one, then i missed a few weeks and caught the second by chance it really is quite alarming, the thought that people with the money or power can quite literally buy the info needed from the social media peeps to either get your vote or fake news you into changing your mind (you think) to their way of thinking, or voting.
thank goodness i dont do the social media thing, or even have a tesco club card. im fairly sure ian at fury doesnt know either zuckerberg trump or corbin so i think im safe for now.
