Kitchen Electrics

We have a beautiful '95 Bongo with factory kitchen, although not quite like the ones described. I intend to remove the kitchen to put the seat back in to make a more comfy bed. I assume from reading the posts here that I simply tape up the electrics and hide them behind the panel when I replace it. However, I would like to keep the two 12V charging points.
Would I be able to insert them into the side panel as I replace it and wire them in? Do I need an electrician to do this or is it a DIY job?

Not sure you have a standard galley system ? The standard galley doesn't have any extra power points ? The connector for the standard one does however intercept the connector for the rear nearside pillar light which need to be re-instated in the original socket I believe. Do you have any photo's of what you have ?

Hi, I have taken a couple of pictures of the Bongo kitchen. It appears to be a SMEV kitchen, and clearly has capacity for a leisure battery - though to my knowledge there has never been one installed (no sign)...

No that isn't a Mazda kitchen Cube ! Its a DIY job with a SMEV cooker and ZIG1 Marque 1 12 volt control panel added, so there will be very little information if any about its setup without opening it up and looking! The ZIG 1 is often fitted with a X70 or X80 mains 12 volt charger/supply if it has an EHU connection.

Thank you! That almost sounds as though I can insert the whole control panel into the original Bongo side panel intact, and not play with the electrics at all - win win.
