Eastnor Castle Deerpark 2018
INFORMATION UPDATE
As in previous years there's a plan to visit Eastnor Castle Deerpark over the weekend 27 - 30 September 2017. I have included the Thursday and Bob n Sue will be there from the Wednesday. Look for his flag. You will be able to stay until Sunday teatime if you wish, but the park closes on the 30th.
http://eastnorcastle.com/stay/deer-park-campsite/
Please be aware that the facilities consist only of taps for fresh water and wotsit pits for emptying the toilet, therefore you must be self-sufficient. Please respect the countryside.
There are no hook ups. No amplified music to be played. Dogs to be kept under control.
We have always had a great time here and been made very welcome. Off ground fire pits and BBQs have always been allowed so if we can each bring a bag of fire wood, preferably cut into useable sizes, that would be great. If possible, also bring a fire mat or similar to place underneath.
I have made contact with the Estate Office and booked provisionally and have to give a pretty accurate number a week before, so if you would form an orderly queue to show interest that would be great. Just post on the thread and I’ll add you to the list.
Looks like a bargain £8 per unit per night rally price, (min ten units) and payment will be to the ranger individually when he comes round. He also provides half price entry to the Castle when you pay up.
We've always paid the rally price if arriving early, just say you're with Bongos and Friends.
Probably an off road walk into Ledbury on Saturday for a pub lunch and everything else informal/whatever we want to do. The Castle grounds and the Castle itself welcome dogs – yes, even inside! British Camp is a (rather long) walk along the Worcestershire Way, but worth the effort, with a hotel serving hot food and a café near the car park. Complimentary fishing for all campers.
THE LIST:
1 Jillygumbo (with Ruca) - Thu evg to Sun
2 Bob & Sue - (Wed) to Sun

I now need to negotiate a couple of days off work, but at the very least we'll bring Bongy Sat/Sun.
I'll be nice and helpful to the boss.

Re: Eastnor Castle Deerpark 2018
Negotiations carried out successfully, we can now arrive by Thursday lunch time.
Possibly a day earlier if I'm asked to do more extra.
I'm happy to lead a walk to British Camp, perhaps Friday, as we normaly walk into Ledbury for lunch on Saturday.
