Hi
Haven't driven the van for a while (about 5 or 6 weeks). Today drove a couple of miles down the road to deliver a bed, then back home again.
When I got home I noticed a very strong burning smell on the drivers side coming from the wheel which was very hot. All the others were fine.
I'm assuming this is a binding brake and should be easy enough for a non bongo specialist garage to fix?
We have a fab mechanic who does our car and he's just half a mile away. We've never taken the van to him before though we are considering doing so as we have been put off our normal bongo expert garage because of a bad experience at the start of the summer (long story and very dissapointing for us as we bought the van off them 7 years ago and have used them ever since, despite them being quite pricey).
Long post, sorry. Just wanting to check if anything other than a stuck caliper can cause a hot wheel?
Cheers
Sara

Very hot wheel
Why, oh why did I chose such a naff forum name????
Re: Very hot wheel
You're almost certainly right Sara, and it's really only the cooling system/ bleed process which needs special knowledge.

Yes, the brakes are easy but do get it done soon. I had a bad experience in an Audi once that boiled it's fluid due to a binding caliper and the pedal went to the floor.
