Broken AFT motors-roof stuck
Were on a campsite and we cant get the aft down. I think one of the motors has packed up.
It's stuck so high we'll have to get it towed as we cant drive it.
I've used a garage just outside manchester who fixed our aft before but cant recall his name. Can anyone suggest what we can do and a garage we cant take it to near Stockport/High Peak?

Re: Broken AFT motors-roof stuck
You can disconnect the motors/struts with an Allen key/hex wrench, lower by hand then tie a rope over the front of the AFT to the grab handles.
Fingers crossed.

Details in the User manual here http://www.g8dhe.net/bongo_images/manua ... php?ind=13
make sure that the rope is tied to th struts well, as you will need to use that rope later to lift the roof up! Otherwise you will be stuck with the roof down and no motors to lift it!

Thanks guys.
My friend had a suitable wrench and we've managed to strap the roof down.
We had the motors repaired a few years back. Next step is to get them replaced

Sorry to hear of the issue, does anyone know the Hex/Allen key size you need, probably a very sensible plan to have one of that exact size in the glove box for all who have an AFT.
