Hello Bongies. newish owner, yet to go 'for real' I have a 'push up' roof with straps, not too difficult to push up, but for a OAP, hard to pull down. are the telescopic support struts meant to be 'stiff'? can I shove some oil down them? or is that just how it is??
Regards to all. Bongo Burty

Re: elevating roof
Welcome aboard.
Is the roof a mushroom style opens from the side along the length of the van ? Or is it hinged along the front/rear ?
The mushroom roofs are known to be quite difficult to lower down.

Re: elevating roof
Hello Geoff, hinges from the back, relatively easy to push up, hard to pull down.

Right not sure which make that is, the gas struts normally only need a clean / polish of the ram section as they have there own lubrication internally.
