Rubber grommets

Post by driward » Wed Oct 11, 2023 7:18 pm

Hi all,

On my rear door I’ve removed the rubber grommets that cover the channel designed to run cables through so that I could install a rear view camera. All done and dusted BUT I can’t get the grommets back in place! Photo attached.

They’re so fiddly…every time I get it halfway on it pings back again. Have tried using pliers. Anyone got any cheats? I don’t want to leave them open in case the rain gets in.

Thanks

Sometimes a smear of washing up liquid, or rubber lube, will help. :)
