Bongo out for the count - parts compat with 2004 model?

Post by Fredanz » Wed Oct 25, 2023 10:11 pm

Tragically, our 1998 Freda diesel hi-top was rear-ended while parked and is not economic to repair due to some frame bending. A loss felt by the whole family, even though the kids have all left home long ago.

I'm looking at a 2004 petrol that's available and thought I'd ask those who know:

Are many/most parts transferable between such models? IIRC there was a facelift some time between those years - but should things like seats, seat rails and headlights be transferable?

Thanks!

Some of the internals should be reusable, but external trim items will have changed with the updates.

Thanks Geoff. I can see from photos that some external trim features like headlights have definitely changed. Fingers crossed on things like seats and rails.
