I will admit to it being a bit beyond me. Anyone recommendations on where to take it in Scotland to get checked out? :(

I'm down on the South Coast so no experience on Scotland, but it might be worth checking the Members Club area as there is a spreadsheet of garages round the UK who are Bongo aware!

Thanks! One last question... as well as the lead from the lb to the Main Battery that is fed through the split charge Relay, there is also a very think wired direct connection between them + to + .... any idea why that would be?

The two larger cables handle the power side of the switching, whilst the smaller wires control the operation of the relay, one will most likely be a Black wire (if they stuck to a colour code!) to earth the coil, the other will go to the either to an Ignition switched circuit (preferred) but some go to the alternator charging light circuit which works but causes the light to glow slightly (an older depreciated method these days).

The saga continues - Yesterday everything started working again, except the cabin light (front) which worked but when put on the door setting stays on (I am now thinking there is a problem with the door on off button thing )

Today, it worked, then didnt work, then worked again.....

All of it seems to point to the permanent feed most of the the things have (Its the only thing I can see they have in common - Front cabin light, lighter socket, folding mirrors, central locking .... all can and should work when the car engine is off)

I am blaming Gremlins at this point

Yes as commented on the other post check all the fuses, the unswitched power is fused on the top left fuse of the X03 internal fuse box, often this will be on a Swap Loom so check its internal connection and also the fuse box at the other end of the Swap Loom are all OK. Oddities like this can still however be down to problems with the LB switching and fusing arrangements as outlined previously.

So you were right.....took the fuse box out and I can see top left and right have been cut and re routed IE all the systems I have had issues with

Some investigation needed

One question, any harm in just reversing things and putting them back into the fuse box?

No but put them all back not just one or two! Otherwise unintended loops can be created! The idea is sound because it allows you to restore to normal in just a few seconds in the event of oddities.

So ... mobile Camper / caravan specialist out today.... turns out it was a dodgy earth on the Leisure battery for the most part, the heating was a dodgy connector!!

He redid all the connections, cleaned everything up and voila, everything is back up and running... happy days!!

Excellent news, yes there can be many variations on the usual "bad connections" problems!
